does anyone realy know how many 144,000 are realy left?
by lied too ini have been talking to some friends of mine both in and out of the "cult".
and the one thing that no one can come up with is how many of the socalled 144,000 are left, i would estamate there to be atleast 145,000 still kicking today.
if any one out there know's of a number and not the number put in the watchtower, i mean realy do you belive all you read.

I wonder what would happen if the "friends" (gag) found out that the donation $ they earned by doing part time manual labor (so they could pioneer) was used to pay college tuition for another JW. I am pissed about it myself. It is so hypocritical!
There I was working in a greasy restaurant part time and pioneering, w/o health insurance or enough $ to come close to supporting myself, severely disappointed I wasn't allowed to go to college....and the pennies I donated were used for someone else's tuition!!!! I was told in 1985 there was no way I could possibly finish a bachelor's degree because Armageddon would come within the next 4 yrs.
Is there any way this can be proven? It would be awesome to be able to prove the WTS paid tuition.
Rebel8, you took the words right out of my mouth. Just think about the R&F that are scraping along paycheck to paycheck unable to educate themselves to get a better job because it's against the rules. Well low and behold all of those "donations" they're putitng in the "contribution box" are being used to educate a bethelite. If I was one of those people that put a lot of my hard earned money in those boxes I'd be pissed. Fortunatly for me I got out just as I was begining to earn my living.

They saw my Xmas tree! What do I say?

i have always wanted a big christmas tree but since i was a full fledged jw till 5 yrs ago i never had one.
i just last year was able to get a small table top tree for christmas.

Just tell them that it's not a Christmas tree but that it's your Winter Solstice tree. That's what I call ours and it buggs the hell out of my wife. LOL

by Gill inhusband, self and kids were talking about 'where we would be' if we hadn't had five children.. i said, that if we'd stopped at two, as we'd intended, we'd probably still be dubs as it was the obstroperousness of the twins, their constant screaming, fighting etc that made it impossible for us to go to the meetings so often.. so, we all agreed that it was a good thing we hadn't stopped at two children.. the twins were 'bad asses'!

i wouldn't wish non identical twin boys on anyone!.

Well Im glad that you have found a positive spin on your situation. Im sure that's not the only good thing that you can say about your twins though. I too have twins and although they're a boy/girl set they can cause havoc.

i dont get the mags anymore, but im glad to be able to keep up with what's being said in the wt through your weekly comments on the wt study.. i would think it might get tiresome to wade through the bs in the articles week after week.
im sure it takes a lot of your time to research, then type your post.

Listened to about a minute of one song. It sounded pretty good. It's difficult to listen objectively with my toddlers making such a racket. I'll stop back later when it's a little more quiet around here.
